Saint John: Illustrator Since 1995 Saint John has been published in miscellaneous books, magazines, cd covers and posters relating to music, horror, occult, medical illustration, poetry, conspiracies, myths, religion, nature and science fiction.
In 1998, Saint John created Dark Harvest Productions with two others, (Doug Crill & Francis Lyon), which acted as a small label for music, artwork and miscellaneous merchandise. In early 1999, Dark Harvest released the first of three comic books titled, 'The Piper.' It was a dark horror/fantasy comic with black and white artwork. The underlined meanings, images, dark subject matters and low production appealed to certain aesthetic types, but not to a mass audience. Although there were favorable words and reviews by some great and esteemed individuals, the books remained underground and under appreciated by the majority. After several attempts at other endeavors in 2003, Dark Harvest finally faded into the shadows.
Saint John continued work on his own with music and illustrating for magazines, books, bands, pamphlets and design work for individuals and companies. His illustrations are almost exclusively black and white, using a pen and ink, quill, feather, and occasionally dirt, ash, coffee or tea. His home state is Ohio.
